Helping the Daughters of Jesus can take many different forms. Discover how three faithful Associates in the department of Lot-et-Garonne, France, have worked to raise funds for our Sister in the Ivory Coast.
Our three actors
Marie-Pierre, her husband Michel, and Pierrette, are three long-standing friends of the Congregation. In contact with Daughters of Jesus communities in the department of Lot-et-Garonne they have become faithful Associates of the Congregation.

In addition, they know Sisters who have worked in the Ivory Coast, and consequently, their main works there. As a result, they look for ideas to help them which have given fruit through their participation in ‘yard’ or ‘car boot’ sales several times a year.
All you need to know about ‘yard sales’
But does everyone know what a ‘yard’ or a ‘car boot’ sale is? They collect knick-knacks, toys, linen, clothes and all kinds of objects and set up their stall, after paying a registration fee of a few euros, in the village where the sale is taking place.

Three recognized actors
As they are known in their village, people who are moving house or who no longer want an object have started to bring things to them “for the Sisters“.
Thank you, Pierrette, Marie Pierre, and Michel
for all the hours given for us!
