Sr Anne-Marie Monneraye passed away on Saturday, 13 September 2025. She had served the Congregation as General Treasurer since 2017. Sr Patricia Guillet, Superior General of the Congregation of the Daughters of Jesus, paid tribute to her during the funeral service.
“It is on behalf of the General Council and the entire Congregation that I now speak. In 2017, Anne-Marie agreed to serve the entire Body by responding to the call to be General Treasurer. In an article she had prepared a few weeks ago for the next En Liaison newsletter, she wrote that she had accepted this mission “with apprehension in view of the challenges of the service“. Anne-Marie leaves us with the testimony of a service lived to the end with competence, in great humility, and seeking to collaborate to the fullest, particularly with her assistant, Mrs Marie-Anne Charre, Assistant Management Accountant.
Thank you
Thank you, Lord, for placing Anne-Marie in our path to remind us regularly, in Council and various international meetings, that the economy must always serve the charism and mission, in accordance with the latest guidelines of the Dicastery for Consecrated Life.
Thank you, Lord, for placing in Anne-Marie’s heart a deep desire to foster healthy interdependence among the various entities of the Congregation, ensuring financial sharing and solidarity in multiple ways. Thank you, Lord, for the support that Anne-Marie courageously provided, on behalf of the Congregation, to the CEI International Economic Commission, the St Joseph de Kermaria Foundation, and SIDI (International Solidarity for Development and Investment), often referring to the words of Pierre Noury: «The goods that God has given you are not for you alone. You are free to take what you need, but the rest must be shared with the poor.».

Finally, thank you, Lord, for allowing Anne-Marie to pass the torch to Sr. Hélène, even if it was in her bedroom and not in her office as she would have wished.
God our Father, you welcomed Anne-Marie a few days after the anniversary of the death of our Foundress, Mother Saint Angèle. During her last mission, as certainly throughout her life, she perpetuated the values left to us by Perrine Samson: humility, simplicity, silence, courage, values that have their source in you, God of love.
Lord, through the intercession of all the saints, of whom Anne-Marie is now one, grant us the grace to take care of what has been entrusted to us by committing ourselves, as Anne-Marie did, to be ‘prudent and faithful stewards.’
