On this beautiful Sunday of september 24, the Entity of Three Rivers Canada, gathered to express our gratitude to Sr Colette Gélinas, General Councillor, for her significant visits to Lokia and to wish her a pleasant return trip for a mission she generously accepted.

“Yes, here I am!”

It was a beautiful friendly gathering during which Sr Colette tells us that renewing her service as Councillor for another 6 years was really a response to a call to which she adheres with serenity, well aware that the reality of a new team involves challenges, richness and renewal.

Sending on Mission

After a delicious snack, the highlight of this meeting was the sending forth of Sr Colette on mission by Sr Monique, our Regional Superior.  As a symbol of co-responsibility, the House Council accompanied Sr Colette and then each sister laid her hand on Colette’s shoulders. On behalf of the Region of Canada represented here by the Three Rivers Entity, Sr Monique pronounced the following Biblical words:  

    

   

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

the Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;

the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.”

NRSV Num. 6, 24-26

May you experience his loving presence at all times, may he assist you, advise you and uplift you.  May he help you enter into the mystery of each of the persons you will encounter. May you at all times experience his goodness and gentleness with a great inner peace”.

Colette’s wish

We all stood up spontaneously to warmly applaud Sr Colette while offering her an “electronic tablet” to facilitate her work. It is with sincere emotion that Colette thanked us and invited us to let ourselves be energized by one another so as to Move forward and cast our nets.
