The associates of Nkoteng (a small town in Cameroon) gathered on the 2nd March in Yaounde for their recollection, which was animated by Rev Father Robert a Jesuits priest. The participants were nine (9) in numbers together with Sr Clarisse ILOFO.

Where am I in my relationship with Christ?

It was around this topic: “where am I in my relationship with Christ” that our recollection was centred, to help us have a fruitful Lenten period.

From our conversation with Father Robert, we understood that:

The Lenten period is not centred only in deprivation of food to oneself but it is a privileged time to halt, and to reflect on our relationship, our attachment to Christ, our Christian lives as associates’ daughters of Jesus.

During this Lenten period, we think of our mission as Christ witness, whom we are called to represent. We are called to continue incarnating Christ in our different environments. Each of us was chosen and was sent by Christ. We are invited to reflect on this Christian mission and also to have in mind that: “He that dwells in Christ, will have fruit that lasts” Jn 15,5
