On the 25th of June 2025, the Limoges France Associates experienced three important moments.
– a “festive” gathering to close the year
– a more ‘studious’ time to reflect on Sheet 1: “Eternity, holiness, what does it mean for us today?”
– a review of the past year

“Festive” moment
All the associates and Sisters gathered to share a convivial meal at the community restaurant ‘La cuisine au pluriel’ in Limoges (Haute-Vienne).
“Studious” discussion time
After this pleasant meal, Bernadette welcomed us into her home to discuss the topic on the worksheet.

During this exchange, we noted a few thoughts:
– Holiness is perfection! Not everyone can be a saint!
– We are all called to holiness: it means being faithful to God. We are on a journey
towards holiness, it is a path.
– Holiness is the path to eternity, which begins now, today.
– It is others, the people who see him or her living it, who can say, “That person is a
saint.”
– The words of Mother Marie de Saint Charles invite us to be attentive, to care for others,
for our family.
– Care for souls : through prayer
– Care for oneself : daily Bible reading
– Reminders from St Pau l: comforting one another. If I am comforted, do I think to do the
same for others?

Looking back over the past year
Following our reflection, we took a brief look back at the year’s experiences.
The documents were well written and well presented. However, some of them seemed a little difficult to read on our own in preparation for the meeting. Thanks to the sharing and exchanges, which were appreciated by the group, we enlightened each other through mutual enrichment.
The writings of Mother Marie de Saint Charles remain important and relevant to us today. They stimulate us and enable us to get back on track.

Geneviève wanted to reiterate her experience of the day at Kermaria, which she was discovering for the first time: a beautiful day of fellowship and renewal. The day ended, but that does not mean ‘silence’ until the next meeting. Fraternal support, outside of scheduled meetings, continues through phone calls, visits…
