Celebrating our Jubilarians

On May 12th, 25 Daughters of Jesus celebrated their jubilee in Trois-Rivières, Canada.

Some celebrated 50 years, others 60, 70, 75 and 85 for Aurore Clermont. Ursule Beaulieu and Jeannine D’Amours of Rimouski joined their counterparts of 50 years.

This thanksgiving celebration was presided over by Bishop Pierre-Olivier Tremblay, Auxiliary Bishop of Trois-Rivières.

This last celebration of jubilees at Kermaria

This last celebration of jubilees at Kermaria was specially characterized by joy and simplicity. The meal was enhanced with dishes well chosen by our chef and his team. Toward the middle of the meal Bishop Tremblay surprised us by joining the animation team in singing choruses on his little lute and delighted us with his dynamism.

Our chapel will be greatly missed.

Despite this festive atmosphere, we realized that in the years to come our magnificent chapel, steeped in so many souvenirs, will be greatly missed.

Yet, we can be sure that in our new environment the feast of our jubilarians will gather us again with the same deep feelings of fraternity and thanksgiving.

Let us celebrate our jubilarians!

On May 18, 2019, the Sisters of the Vice-Province of Rimouski gathered to celebrate 11 jubilarians for their 50, 60, 65 and 70 years of life consecrated to the Lord.

Mass of thanksgiving

In our chapel, decorated with beautiful flowers, our Bishop Denis Grondin was the presider for the mass of thanksgiving.

With their golden voices resounding as on special days, our Sisters sing of the wonders of the Lord for our jubilarians.

After the celebration, the group celebrating their 60 years, along with the Bishop, went to visit Sister Renée Dumais who had followed the mass from her room. A picture highlights this delicate gesture.

In friendliness

Followed a delicious meal around our table where were shared precious moments of joy and conviviality.

Ps. 132 invite us to sing: How very good and pleasant it is for Sisters to be united and to celebrate together!
