At the invitation of the Regional Council of Canada, the four animation teams came together with our Sisters in Rimouski from May 28 to May 31, 2024, to share their mission experience.

The Sisters warmly welcomed us with their legendary hospitality.  The joy of being together again was very evident.

One of the aims of the meeting was to look at the process of the day-to-day experience of this new “Ad expérimentum” structure, in place since 2020.

Listening to the Holy Spirit, supported by the evaluation report of all the Sisters in the region, we now prepared ourselves to reflect and discern.

In a fraternal, open, and respectful sharing, we expressed what energized us concretely in our missionary drive as a congregation, and as a Church; what defines us, and what brings us together, between sectors.

We also noted the difficulties encountered along the way and discerned the necessary adjustments to propose to the Council of the Congregation, in line with our fast-changing reality.

Cosmic march

On the last day, Sister Denise Lirette gave us an enriching experience in line with our General Chapter commitment to “enter into the conversion towards integral ecology“. Together we undertook a cosmic walk, and she motivated us to embark on the search for an ecological project having to do with water.

On June 1, we returned home with a stronger faith in the One who has always guided us, stronger also in our fraternal communion and solidarity to build together a world of peace and freedom, towards ever greater unity.
