The community of the Daughters of Jesus of Monsempron-Libos France presents the creation of the creche in Fumel, one of the churches of the parish.

At the initiative of our parish priest, a workshop was organised every Wednesday during Advent, where retired women  prepared the creche  The children at the primary school of Sainte Marie, also worked together.

Santons

Guess what we used to make the santons?  Dressed up milk bottles! Everyone let their imagination run wild and used their sewing and knitting skills. In the end, we made some three hundred characters, ready to set off for Bethlehem to welcome the Good News announced to the whole world.

Working together gave us the opportunity to chat, to exchange more deeply, and get to know each other better while we shared pancakes and cakes made by members of the group.

For some of us, this Wednesday workshop allowed us to break our solitude. For all of us, it was an opportunity to experience a time of relaxation and joyful fraternity,

A shared joy

This project, as well as the one in the church of Libos near the community, brought joy to the Christians who came to celebrate the Nativity, but also to all the people, believers or just curious, who came through the doors of these churches.

Together with the nativity scenes from all over the world, they bore witness to the faith of Christians in the presence of Emmanuel, God with us!
