A new year opens for us

The web team of the Daughters of Jesus offers you its best wishes for the Year 2021. At a time of perplexity, we invite you to discern and welcome the human and spiritual legacy left to us by the global pandemic.

After a particularly trying Year 2020, we welcome the New Year with perplexity. Our expectations and hopes have been shaken by the unpredictable and the unknown that still hang over our present and our future, both personal and collective.

At the dawn of the Year 2021, our traditional wishes for a “Happy New Year” can have what meaning? The Christmas that we have just celebrated has brought us what Good News?

Dare to dream

We would like to share with you the poem “Hope”, by Alexis Valdés, quoted by Pope Francis in his latest book “Let Us Dream – The path to a better future“.

This poem opens a path of hope towards a better future. It expresses in a moving way our deep desire to come out of this state of crisis alive, more humane and more committed. We invite you, in this Year 2021, to discern and welcome what this global pandemic reveals to us about the human and spiritual dimension of our world. May it commit us together to new paths of humanity, fraternity and compassion, of caring for one another, and for the health of our “Common home“.
