It was in the year 1981, in Three-Rivers (Quebec), that the first steps were taken so that lay people might be associated to the spirituality and charism of the Daughters of Jesus. The first celebration of promises occurred in 1985. Adrienne Vincent was the first to make her commitment under the presidency of the Superior General of the time, Sister Ellen Martin.
Adrienne went to the Father’s house, on March 18, 2015 at the age of 97. She remained associated to the charism of the Daughters of Jesus until the end of her life. She had asked that her funeral be held at Kermaria, in the chapel of the Daughters of Jesus.
Adrienne was the mother of 5 children, the grand-mother of 6 grand-children and great-grand-mother of 6. Love was one of her most important values. She possessd a strong faith and a great wisdom. For her commitment, she had chosen to seek to see God in all things and all things in God.
We thank the Lord for all the marvelous things that He accomplished in her during her passage on this earth.
Mrs Lisette Dionne, AFJ
