Martial, from the Ivory Coast, is in charge of a foundation called “Survivants SRV” (SRV Survivors), along with Sosten, also from the Ivory Coast. I met them at Restos du Cœur, where I volunteer like them.
Martial, you are in charge of a foundation: the “SURVIVANTS SRV” Foundation
What does SRV stand for?
– “Suffering, Resistance, Victory. ”Help for children and women in distress.”
All human being go through difficult situations in during their lifetime: suffering, war, unemployment, accidents, bereavements. From this suffering, we begin by resisting and try to do everything we can to survive, thus aiming for Victory.
As a result we offer our help and solidarity to those who are still suffering.
Always committed
Yon your Facebook page we read: “Because we focus on victory, because in these situations our hearts remain focused on our goals, because we are and will always remain committed to SRV for life.” How does this manifest itself in concrete terms?
– “Buying an item from the SRV SURVIVANTS brand means helping and supporting children and women around the world. Let’s look around us—there are people who just need a glass of water to keep going. Through our clothing brand, we describe life as a daily struggle where each and everyone carries his or her own burdens, but where suffering can be transformed into strength through resistance and resilience. The acronym “SRV” takes on its full meaning with the words “Suffering,” “Resistance,” and “Victory,” which represent the different stages of this struggle. We emphasize the idea that victory is not only, or necessarily, synonymous with glory or resounding success, but rather with perseverance and dignity in the face of adversity. It is a philosophy of life that values strength of character and determination.

The Survivor SRV ideology is a declaration of hope and solidarity with those who struggle daily, especially young people, women, and dreamers fighting for their goals. The motto “SRV for Life” thus becomes a rallying cry for all those who refuse to give up in the face of adversity. In short, our text is a hymn to human resilience and determination, encouraging perseverance in the face of life’s challenges. The SRV Foundation supports children, women, and the disadvantaged. Fashion in the service of solidarity.
SRV: more than a brand, a state of mind.
Do you work with associations?
– “It’s a foundation that is authorized to work with other associations involved in humanitarian and solidarity work, including Restos du Cœur. “
Chantal, you are part of the team of managers at Restos du Cœur in Pontivy. Has the SRV Foundation worked with you?
– “The Foundation has donated goods to our beneficiaries. This helps families who are registered here at Restos du Cœur. We are very grateful to them.

Martial and Stotens are also volunteers at Restos du Cœur. It’s a wonderful story, because they are two people who come from another country and have invested themselves in our community. Through their involvement in this foundation, they are giving back what they have received.”
May this foundation continue on its journey, helping the disadvantaged to build resilience.
