During the wildfires that affected the Gironde region of France, the Vaylats Convent (Lot) mobilized and launched an appeal to help those affected.

A call launched on social media

In light of the fires currently affecting the Gironde region, our thoughts are with all the individuals and families facing such severe hardship.

At the Couvent de Vaylats senior residence (https://www.couventdevaylats.fr/), we believe that solidarity is truly meaningful in times like these. That is why we wish to make a few temporary accommodation spots available to elderly people who are temporarily unable to return home, or whose families are in need of an emergency solution.

If you know a family affected by this or are facing this situation yourself, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will consider each request with care, subject to availability. We extend our full support to the affected residents, as well as to the firefighters and all teams mobilized on the ground.
