Prayers to Saint Joseph

Prayer to Saint Joseph 2021

for the centenary of the crowning of the statue of Saint Joseph

The statue of Saint Joseph in the chapel of the Motherhouse which was crowned in 1921.

O glorious Saint Joseph,
guardian of the Holy Family of Nazareth,
you who were so zealous in providing for all its needs,
in this year dedicated to you,
extend your tender solicitude to our congregation,
as you have done so faithfully since the beginning.

Obtain for us the vocations we need
so that the charism of the Daughters of Jesus
may continue to enrich the Church.

Take under your guidance all the spiritual and temporal
affairs that concern us
and make them contribute to the great glory of God
and our salvation.

Amen

Prayer to Saint Joseph the Poor

The oratory of Saint Joseph, at the entrance to the Motherhouse, Kermaria
Joseph, you who are righteous,
you who are silent, take my hand,
lead me on the way,
with courage and hope.
Teach me
to meet Jesus
in the daily routine of my life,
to pray to him and to give him thanks.

Prayer to Saint Joseph

Statue de Saint Joseph de Kermaria

Truly it is right and just to give you glory, God our Father, for Saint Joseph, your servant, whom you gave to our religious family so that he could watch over it.
Therefore, Saint Joseph, with Mother Marie Saint Charles, we beg you to obtain for us the grace never to be separated from ‘God’s good pleasure’ and to respond to it freely and faithfully.

This community is yours. Surround it with your special protection. Obtain for each one of us the grace to walk in faith. Let us be drawn by your example, to live ready for the mission to which we are called, ‘to set out’, if it requires it, in a spirit of sharing, of communion and of openness to the world.

Intercede with the Father, so that today and tomorrow, your people may let themselves be seized by the love of Jesus and reply to the same call which we have received ‘to honour the Sacred Humanity of the son of God’.

Teach us to let prayers of thanksgiving and hope rise from our hearts, to the praise of the glory of God and for the salvation of humanity in your Son Jesus Christ.

Amen.
