In 1625, in the field known as Boceno, in the village of Ker Anna in Brittany, ‘Anne’s village’ in Breton, Yvon Nicolazic, a farmer by trade, discovered a statue of Saint Anne after several apparitions.’ The Ermines’, a group of Associates of the Daughters of Jesus, celebrated this jubilee.
Jubilee year
This year, 2025, the shrine of Sainte-Anne-d’Auray (https://www.sainteanne-sanctuaire.com/) celebrates the jubilee of the 400th anniversary of the apparitions of Saint Anne and the discovery of her statue.

In the footsteps of Nicolazic
On this occasion, the Diocese invites us to take a spiritual journey, in communion with the Jubilee of the Universal Church, making us all ‘Pilgrims of Hope’.
So, on Easter Tuesday, 22 April 2025, the group of Associates ‘The Ermines’ set off along this jubilee route, starting at Nicolazic’s house and arriving at the Basilica, passing by the jubilee gate, the fountain where Saint Anne first appeared, the place where the statue was discovered and the cloister.
Spiritual journey

Throughout the journey, the hymns in the booklet accompanied our group.
These hymns, punctuated by times of personal prayer before the statue of Sainte Anne and the tomb of Nicolazic, were an intense spiritual experience for our group.
To round off the day, we attended the Mass celebrated by Father Gwénaël Maurey, rector of the Basilica, for Pope Francis, who had left to return to the Father’s house the day before.
Before we went our separate ways, the Sisters of the Sainte Anne community invited us to a convivial moment.

Many thanks to them for their welcome!
