From October 5 to 11, as part of “La semaine bleue,” the Vaylats Convent in France welcomed residents from a nursing home in the Tarn department.
Blue Week
Created in 1951 by the Ministry of Public Health under the rather unflattering name “Day of the Elderly,” this initiative aimed to assist the most disadvantaged seniors through a major national fundraising drive. In the early 1990s, it became “La Semaine Bleue,” guided by the slogan “365 days to act, 7 days to speak out.”
The 75th edition took place from October 5 to 11, 2026, with the national theme: “Let’s connect all ages in committed communities!”

At the Vaylats Convent
On Saturday, October 10, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 10 residents who came to spend a few days at the Vaylats Convent in France.
In the evening, our visitors and the residents of our Senior Living Community gathered for a friendly cocktail reception, filled with conversation, camaraderie, and good cheer!
A Warm Atmosphere
Smiles, conversations, a few treats, and above all, the joy of being together.
These moments of sharing are precious. They perfectly illustrate the spirit of the Vaylats Convent : a place of life, hospitality, and connection, where human bonds are at the heart of our daily lives.

A big thank you to our visitors from the Tarn region, their chaperones, and our residents for this wonderful evening!
