On May 1, 2026, pilgrims gather at the Kermaria Chapel to celebrate Saint Joseph, patron saint of workers.
A gathering rooted in tradition

As they do every year, pilgrims have come from all corners of Brittany and beyond. At 10:30 a.m. on May 1, the chapel bells ring out, inviting everyone to enter for the Eucharistic celebration.
Invited by Sister Anne Thirion, Brother Marc of the Fraternity of Tiberias, surrounded by priests and deacons, presides over the celebration.

He comes to us from Belgium, near Lavaux-Sainte Anne, and it is said of him that he is a modern witness to faith and prayer. His homily indeed attests to this, and the musical accompaniment that follows allows each person to be immersed in words full of hope.
A Guest Who Brings Faith and Hope
After the meal, during which we shared what each of us had brought from our baskets, Brother Marc invited those who wished to join him to the Sacré-Cœur Hall for a time of reflection and discovery about his life… A reflection filled with such great joy that it left no one indifferent.

In fact, like Saint Joseph, we discovered in Brother Marc a man who knows how to work with wood, thus seeking to bring to life the Tiberias fraternity project. Indeed, around the age of 12, a forest ranger introduced him to a cabin—a cabin that became the central theme of his talk, revealing to us the importance of what is simple and what is beautiful.
To keep moving forward, he suggests walking alongside Saint Joseph, the protector of families, to build beauty, because “beauty will save the world; beauty brings goodness.”

And then, to our surprise, at that moment during our gathering, after asking for a moment of our time, he stepped behind the curtain and returned holding a dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit. As he passed through the crowd, the dove’s wing brushed the heads of the pilgrims.
At the end of Vespers, Brother Marc, always ready to say goodbye to each and every one of us, invited us “not to burden ourselves and to continue to marvel at reality.”
It is indeed in this spirit that we must continue!
Thank you, Brother Marc, for sharing with us
the sunshine of our brother the Sun.
