Pentecostal : “I will pour out my spirit
on everyone ” (Joël 2, 28)
The Breath of the Spirit,
is not concerned primarily with the correction of our actions;
The Breath of the Spirit,
does not remove all the doubts on our paths;
The Spirit brings the publican to the back of the Temple
and bows him down in a gesture of adoration,
The Spirit brings him closer to dust
Instead of perfect and pompous glory ;
The Spirit is closer to perseverance
In the monotony of daily life
Than in the grand reversals of situations.
Only a person used to silence and long patient practices of adoring the invisible will be able to detect the respiration of the Spirit in the centre of his or her being.
In this Pentecostal season, our Pope Francis bows his head and humbly asks for our prayers, calling upon us to pray together for all nations.
This moment of harmony invites us to respond and embark upon :
« The path of fraternity, of love, and evangelisation » for today.
